Gerald Harris, Ph.D., BCBA-D
Dr. Gerald E. Harris is a licensed Clinical Psychologist and Board Certified and Licensed Behavior Analyst at the Doctoral level. He has experience in teaching, published research, and clinical service. After obtaining B.S., M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Houston, he completed a Special Child Internship at the University of California at Los Angeles. Dr. Harris subsequently joined the faculty at the University of Houston in the doctoral Clinical Psychology program where he was involved in teaching classes, conducting applied research and developing treatment programs for special populations of children and their families.
Working with FEAT-Houston and Dr. Ivar Lovaas (the father of Applied Behavior Analysis for Autism), he developed the first Autism Treatment Program in Houston, Texas. This treatment program has successfully treated many children with Autism, restoring most of them to normal functioning and lives.
Dr. Harris is active in the professional aspects of Applied Behavior Analysis. He is a member in good standing of International, State, and Regional professional associations. He has presented research findings at international ABA conferences in several countries, including China, and has visited and consulted with ABA training programs in different countries, such as Japan and England. He is currently the President of the regional ABAI chapter, the Lone Star Association for Behavior Analysts, whose mission is to support the highest standards of the practice of ABA.
Geri Maria Harris, Ph.D.
Dr. Geri Maria Harris is a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst turned licensed Clinical Psychologist. She currently serves as the Chief Operations Officer at TYAP, overseeing all aspects of the company. Dr. Geri Harris graduated at the top of her class with honors, completing a doctoral dissertation focused on remediating dysgraphia in young children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. She has worked with TYAP since 1999, beginning as a behavioral therapist and researcher while working her way toward Supervising Psychologist. Improving the lives of children and families has been, and continues to be, a lifelong goal of hers. Her main focus is making the treatment process go as smoothly and pleasantly for our clients as possible.
Catriona Cullum, Ph.D., BCBA-D, LBA
Dr. Catriona Cullum is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst – Doctoral and Licensed Behavior Analyst. She received her Master’s Degree in Special Education and her Ph.D. in Education Psychology from the University of Houston. Dr. Cullum is the Clinical Director for our Katy location and has worked with Dr. Gerald Harris since 1999. Her work in behavior analysis has included work in schools, in-home settings, private workshop consultations, and clinic based settings. Catriona is passionate about finding the most effective interventions for children and helping each child reach their potential.
Maureen Childs, M.S.,CCC-SLP
Ms. Maureen Childs is the Clinical Director for our Houston location. She received her Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from Texas Woman’s University. Her work in speech and language pathology has included all age groups and in a variety of settings, including school based, skilled nursing rehabilitation and dysphagia evaluation and treatment. Her work within behavior analysis includes work in schools, in-home settings, private workshop consultations, and clinic based settings. Maureen is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, Texas Speech-Language Hearing Association and the Houston Association for Communication Disorders. Maureen finds the progress of the clients and families she works with meaningful and rewarding no matter how big or small.
