TYAP Community Service
TYAP services are not funded or underwritten by government or private agencies. However, as part of this community, and as individuals who sincerely want to help children in need and their families, TYAP contributes back to the community in many ways.
Education
TYAP regularly helps provide free and low cost educational activities in the community.
Strengthening community support and help systems
TYAP contributes time, money and services to several community organizations whose purpose is to support and help children and families.
Training
TYAP provides very high quality training in ABA and the treatment of Autism. Our training programs have produced well over 100 experienced behavior therapists for the community.
Research
TYAP conducts many clinical research projects related to children with autism, and presents that new information to the professional community..
Insurance companies
TYAP works with parents to improve insurance companies’ willingness to honor their obligations to all policyholders, including children with autism.
School district fair hearings
TYAP assists families with their efforts to receive appropriate services from their local school district.
Reduced fees for service
When possible, TYAP helps families who cannot afford the normal costs of services. In the past year, TYAP has reduced fees over $18,000 for families in need.
Scholarships
TYAP encourages students to complete college degrees and to increase their educational standing through loans and scholarships.
